The Dynamic Study of Aging Process in Thailand with Longitudinal Panel Data from the Health, Aging, and Retirement in Thailand (HART) Project
The Health, Aging, and Retirement in Thailand (HART) is a distinguished national longitudinal panel survey and study in multi-dimensions on aging in Thailand funding by the National Research Council of Thailand. The longitudinal data were collected biannually from a random member aged 45 and older from the national representative household samples of 5,600 across country. (https://hart.nida.ac.th).
The objectives of HART are to disseminate knowledge of aging process in Thailand with evidence-based data, to assist decision making in public policies for the wellbeing of older persons and younger generation, and to keep up with the longitudinal study on aging network, i.e., the HRS Around the World and the potential ASEAN Plus network.
Information about HART is linked to the Gateway to Global Aging Data (https://g2aging.org) and the HART PI was appointed to serve in the WHO Technical Advisory Group for Measurement, Monitoring and Evaluation of the UN Decade of Healthy Ageing
